Thursday 8/11 – Prelude
Table booked in the Bistro Shell Club @ 7pm, street address is 76 Purnell Rd, Corio VIC 3214. Only issue is that there is no Parma on the menu, but they do have something called a Parmi….. I might have the steak. Short 5 minute ride to the boat, the boat departs a 10pm, boarding from 8pm.
Friday 9/11 – Day one
Boat disembarks from 8:30am.
Scenic drive to Deloraine – voted by the Tassie crew as best pie in Tasmania after Tassie 4. Ride through to Scottsdale via Beaconsfield, and a leisurely afternoon ride to St Mary via St Helens on the east coast of Tassie. If we arrive in St Mary’s early enough I will be suggesting an extra run up and down Elephants pass.

Accommodation – Once again will be at the St Mary Hotel

Saturday 9/11 – Day Two
We start with Elephant Pass and head down to Bicheno. There will be an option to visit the Bicheno Motorcycle museum, although Google has marked this as permanently closed – we will see. Another option and obviously this will be time dependent, will be a visit to https://www.freycinetmarinefarm.com/ for some freshly shucked oysters. A quick run up and down to Lake Leake, possibly the best bit of bitumen on public roads in Australia. After Lake Leake we follow the coast line down through Orford (for a potato cake) and then sticking to the coast until we end up in Howrah.

Accommodation – The Shoreline Hotel
Sunday 10/11 – Day Three
Sunday morning will see us do a quick historical ride through Bellerive including a quick photo shoot at Westbrook hall. After allowing me to indulge in my ancestorial routes for a short while, it’s a quick ride up to Richmond before heading towards Queenstown via Derwent Bridge and Tarraleah.

Accommodation – there is only one place we can stay in Queenstown and that’s the Empire Hotel

Monday 11/11 – Day Four
Heading north we will see if the guy at “Pitstop cafe” in Zeehan is still working on motorcycles before heading to Reece dam. Heading back towards Devonport we will dodge the major highways. Boat departs at 6:45pm – boarding commences from 4:45pm. Boat sails into Geelong at 6:00am.
